Bye-Bye Paci!!!

It's been 3 long years of having a pacifier, and we had hoped that Myrna would eventually just give it up on her own, but no such luck. About a year and a half ago, she was almost off it, and her enabling parents continued to let her have it at naptime and bedtime. Strangers and friends alike have all offered us advice and ideas and we finally came upon one we felt would work with her. Today, Myrna went to Toys R Us to 'buy' a gift of her choosing and 'payed' for it with her pacifier. We called Toys R Us ahead of time and talked to a manager, who was super kind and said they do this kind of thing all the time when kids give up their pacifier, bottle, blanket, etc. Myrna indicated that she wanted a 'Princess and the Frog' DVD...how she knows about this Disney movie is beyond me (kids talk at daycare), but that's what she wanted, so that's what we were going to let her buy. So, here it is...Myrna FINALLY giving up her pacifier! We are so proud of her!!!
