Myrna had her 1 year well-baby check-up today. She's right on track with her physical development. She weighed in at 22 lbs, 13 oz, and her height is 30 inches. That puts her in the 79th percentile for weight, and 86th percentile for height (see the charts below). We expected her to weigh more (she feels pretty heavy when we carry her around), like closer to 25 lbs, but she was less. She HATED having her blood drawn for the blood lead level test and was pretty upset the vaccines she had to receive, but she eventually recovered. It was pretty interesting...we would get her to stop crying, but then she would be reminded of her traumatic encounter by looking at her bandaged finger where they took her blood and would instantly burst into tears again. We got the 'okay' to have her start on whole milk, and she can pretty much eat anything she wants (other than nuts), so that'll be fun for all of us. Her pediatrician was very pleased with all of her new accomplishments and let us know there will be many more to come. All in all, we were very proud of Myrna (like we always are :-)).
